Caring for Chrissy 5k

Chrissy Means is a 41 year old single mother, diagnosed with Stage 4 Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Chrissy is the picture of resilience, strength, courage, and faith. The cancer journey is no choice that anyone would make, but Chrissy has been someonewho takes the journey into a mission. A mission to keep fighting in spite of the multiple major surgeries, difficult treatments, and changing diagnoses beginning in 2012. Chrissy's journey has taken her to facilities all over the country, until all traditional treatments are no longer an option. Her mission to fight and live are not exhausted though. She is beginning clinical trials to continue that fight to not only survive, but to live a full and active life with her eight-year old daughter Addy. This cancer journey has prevented Chrissy from being able to work, and the clinical trials are not covered by insurance. However, because of her faith in Jesus Christ, her vulnerability and honesty, and her unwavering strength, Chrissy has been an inspiritation to many.
